Students will gain hands-on training in hospitals in collaboration with two state-of-the-art hospitals on Grand Cayman. Learners will head to hospitals, conduct patient models, and assessment charts with faculty associates and other doctors. Learners will also visit the Cayman Tropical island Hospital, a 124-bed facility in George Town, that provides emergency products and a maternity product. Medical pupils will also gain experience in a general practitioner’s office and in hospital-based research.

Medical students just who graduate from St Matthew’s University’s Basic Savoir program will be prepared for the USMLE Step 1 test. The program features small category sizes, expert faculty, and extensive professional medical rotations.
